We love love. And celebrating it is a great thing. But as the saying goes, you can't love someone else until you love yourself. So with that in mind we are looking after ourselves this Valentine's Day and planning a day of pure self indulgence. For us that looks like...
Sauna Social Club, Peckham
ANNA
Breakfast in bed followed by a long bath full of geranium bubbles. More tea and a book, of course. Then its off to pilates at Level Out to do some bending and stretching before wandering over to Sauna Social Club for a session in the saunas and ice baths, may be stopping to see whats happening in Copeland Park on the way and having a little browse at the mid century furniture at Vintique.
The Sourcing Table, Peckham
An afternoon nap is non negotiable, and then its off for wine wine with girl friends at The Sourcing Table before heading home with a pizza from Made of Dough under my arm ready to hit the sofa for the new season of Below Deck - if you know you know. And that, my good friends, is how I'd show myself that I really cared, and I wouldn't even have to leave Peckham for it!
AG Hendy, Hastings
LOTTE
It would need to be a day in Hastings for me as no one needs a train ride on a day of self love! So after a long morning in bed it would be up and over the West Hill for my favourite views of the sea, with a babka and coffee to accompany me. There's nothing better for the soul than a good blustery walk along the coast, and the clifftops of Hastings Country Park never fail to deliver.
The Cove Fairlight, Hastings
Then its on to The Cove in Fairlight for lunch with friends before heading back to the Old Town for a mooch around all of the lovely shops including my favourite A.G Hendy - full to the brim with beautiful bits. Then, it’s a glass of wine at The Crown on route home and before a hot bath full to the brim with bubbles. And then early to bed, that's the biggest treat of all - absolute bliss!
